Back to the blading..

so weve been getting back to it lately. Lots of people have been wanting to come out and skate lately which is awesome because sometimes without the skater motivation there is no filmer motivation. But weve actually been defying the weekend laws and having really productive sundays. The re-emergence or ben schwab totally kicks ass.. Yesterday he did one of the coolest tricks ive seen since lee jumped over that wall to darkside fishy the better than sex rails. Obidobe and JC have been coming out and getting dirty lately too. JC must be hungry because hes got about five 1st try clips over the past 2 weekend, and none of them are easy or sloppy.. you know how JC is theyre all sick and floaty. Obi has been bringin his rad smiles all over the place and been doing lots of lines and stuff so thats cool. His friend Ryan Santos has been getting dirty too, his mini profile thingy is shaping up too nice.. byrons been coming out alot too when hes not winning the LA all day comps. but anyways now i feel like im writing or something throwing in too many adjectives.. so here some pictures its easier this way..

im hungry, my back hurts, and im not high anymore, but portishead is here.. this was pretty much the theme of mine and edru's night on thursday, april 24th. everyone was playing coachella over the past weekend so alot of bands come into town and play before/after the big festival. Its not big secret that i am a geeky-ass, super-portishead lover so I almost contemplated going just to see them play. But last monday i received an email from portishead saying that they would be playing in LA to rehearse for coachella. So i emailed my rsvp right away, and got a confirmation the morning of the show. Turns out its about 5 minutes from my house, score. So i leave work, get home, chief, forget my phone, and my camera, and head out. Upon my arrival i learned that i received the email because i am in the portishead fanclub.. awesome. So i only have my memories to serve me, and other peoples youtube videos, but thats ok because i had a friend of mine take pictures at coachella for me to give you somewhat of a visual for this post. The crowd i saw the show with was only about 300 people, so there was no big screen visual things, and i was only about 10 feet away from beth the whole time. Thanks alot to Sinziana for shooting these pictures you rule.. the show was amazing, adrian (the guitar player)was a little drunk, but it added personality, the bass player guy looked rad and totally had that "yea? so.." demeanor which was awesome, and i didnt think it was possible for beth gibbons to sound any better but in real life somehow she does.. pretty amazing stuff. anyhow, enough music dork out for now.

Hello friends...

So i guess I got on crailtap.com (which is a pretty major skateboard site) for looking like an idiot camera blader guy. I cant even be mad though because all those girl/lakai/chocolate dudes are cool. They also didnt even continue making fun of me, instead they linked to an example of a much worse way to roll around so i thought that was pretty funny.. they were like motorized shoes that ran on batteries.

As of late weve been doing lots of filming and hanging out. I went to Texas for a weekend to hang out with Chase Rushing, The Farm, and B-MO. We ended up blading for a day and kinda just chilled out for the rest of the time. Not a bad trip at all.. heres the flickss..


Mike McMullen is cool. He's one of those grown up bladers whose working all day like me and keeps me sane with the aim chats and constructive criticism on artwork..

I love when something as small as remembering a name comes in handy. I met this woman at a bar and shes alot older than i am. She had the same name as the woman who shot andy warhol though, so it was easy for me to remember. So, we ended up making out a little after some drinks and hangin out at The Farms place. I was so out of it that night and i have no idea how this blurry picture of me and the lady i made out with ended up on my camera, but it did.

LA, hollywood, the franchise, and more..

damn alots been going on i guess.. maybe its just the same as always. both brandons car and my own got shot (with what the cops believe to be a .38 caliber) in front of our building about 2 weeks ago. it was weird because they were filming a movie on our block which is pretty normal, and when we heard the gunshots we figured it was for the movie. but when negrete went to leave about 45 minutes later there was about 15 cops in front of our place. they asked us whose cars they were and we filled out police reports and stuff but nothing will ever happen i guess we just look thugged out driving around in our cars now. aside from that drama negrete and myself have been out filming every chance we get. Lots of LA skating been going on. A little bit o hollywood too. Also, some of negretes friends are in from france and have been doing a bit of the blading with us along with Kevin Gillan whose been gettin down again too which is rad to see. anyway, were still working on sf mission web edit stuff but until then heres some pictures..
